Quinta de Cartemil is a beautiful restored farm house located in Northern of Portugal, at the heart of the Lima valley. This romantic and charming rustic house is placed between the historical towns of Ponte de Lima and Ponte da Barca in the Gemieira village.
Surrounding by magnificent grounds and landscape, the Quinta de Cartemil is a real retreat for who wants to enjoy the countryside and the idyllic scenery provided by the proximity of the mountains, the Lima river and the Viana do Castelo seaside.
This privileged location of Cartemil invites its guests to benefit from an endless panoramic view and from an astonishing sunrise and sunset. Here the sky is bluer the days are longer and shining as well as the nights is full of moonlight.
Situated in the Land of Ribeira Lima at the Minho region the Quinta de Cartemil, has 12 hectares, of gardens, orchards vineyards, extending through aromatic forests, woods, with a big diversity of ancients trees, like a hundred years oak.
Near the main house they built a modern swimming pool, and rebuilt an ancient “Espigueiro” a terrace and they signalized a pedestrian tour in the farm to discover the pure water flows from natural springs.
They also renovated its vineyards to produce an excellent Vinho Verde, genuine wine from the region.
With 4 spacious bedrooms, all with private bathroom, the Quinta de Cartemil is ideal for a family holiday getaway. The decor and the furnishings combine classic beauty with the contemporary comfort.
In the first floor a traditional kitchen gave place to a modern and comfortable sitting room, in the ground floor another sitting room, a TV room and a games room are prepared for the guest's use exclusive.
From Quinta de Cartemil there are a range activities to practice distance some kms way Golfe course, horse riding, hiking visiting the market places, the historical villages, a prefect seat to discover the National Park Peneda Geres and Ponte de Lima known by the beauty of the river, the Minho gastronomic wealth, its architectural and cultural heritage.
